Judy Chen, DMD – Dr. Chen has lived at varying times in Texas, Northern and Southern California and Massachusetts. She graduated from UCSD with a major in Biochemistry and went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Boston University. She previously held the position of Preclinical Adjunct Instructor at USC Dental School, specializing in fixed prosthodontics and tooth-colored restorations. Teaching is one of Dr. Chen’s favorite aspects of dentistry, whether it involves instructing dental students or ensuring that our patients receive the most effective information about how to best take care of their teeth. She believes that excellent communication is a vital part of each dental appointment and looks forward to helping people with any questions or concerns they might have. In her spare time Dr. Chen loves having fun with her two daughters and also enjoys reading and traveling. Her favorite travel destination is Italy, especially the areas of Florence and Lake Como.
Andrew Fan, RDH - Andrew, Canadian born, attended the University of California at Santa Barbara to receive his degree in Biopsychology and Neuroscience. He continued his education by going to San Joaquin Valley College in Visalia, California to become a registered dental hygienist. Andrew loves interacting with patients and getting to know them on a personal level. He is a dental hygiene instructor at Western Career College located in south San Jose and enjoys educating his students in the art and science of dental hygiene. Andrew specializes in soft tissue laser therapy and has a passion for working with the special needs population. He went back to school at the University of Pacific and now runs " Fan of Dental Hygiene," a mobile practice for people with special needs. Andrew loves hanging out with his family and friends and adores his 10- month old niece.
Candace Huang, RDH - Candace was born and raised in Mountain View. She attended UC Irvine as a biology major, and pursued a career as a dental hygienist at San Joaquin Valley College in Rancho Cucamonga, where she received her degree in dental hygiene in 2007. Candace is passionate about her job and believes in making patients feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair. She enjoys getting to know her patients on a more personal level, while making them feel more knowledgeable about their oral health. She believes a hygiene appointment should consist of communication, education, and a dental cleaning which can be both gentle and thorough. In her free time, Candace enjoys volunteering at local animal shelter groups and helping to provide foster care to animals in need. She also enjoys fitness training, golfing, dancing, and spending time with her two cats, friends and family.
Luke Landeros, DDS - Dr. Landeros was born and raised in the central valley of California. He received his Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences and his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific. Dr. Landeros loves being a dentist because he believes that it is a great gift to help others maintain a beautiful and healthy smile. He enjoys building relationships with his patients and is committed to learning and sharing information about how to live a life of oral health. Dr. Landeros was recently married in September 2009 and he and his wife just had their first child. He loves spending time with his family and friends and also enjoys running, music, dining out at new restaurants and traveling.
Tommy Lee, DMD – Dr. Lee grew up in Southern California and received his dental degree from Boston University. He was a drummer in the rock band Mötley Crüe before he decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Lee has a strong interest in technology and is very passionate about integrating new technology into the dental field. He believes in continuously updating himself in the latest dental advances and has taken hundred of hours of continuing education courses. Even with the best training in the world, Dr. Lee knows that it all comes down to “Does it hurt?” He is proud to have perfected “PIT”- painless injection technique. 99.9% of his patients do not feel anything during the delivery of anesthesia. Dr. Lee and the Cerulean Dental Spa team believe that patient relaxation and comfort are absolutely essential components in the quest to achieve quality cosmetic and general dentistry...it's not just the endpoint, it's also the gentle care and compassion to that end. Dr. Lee’s personal interests include golfing, mountain biking and watching Formula One Racing. In his spare time he also enjoys exploring the Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.
Shaun Woo, DMD, MS – Dr. Woo is originally from Canada but now makes his home in the Bay area. Dr. Woo is a specialist in orthodontics (braces) for both adults and children. He studied at the University of Alberta where he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery. He then trained at the University of California San Francisco, where he received his Masters of Science and Certificate of Orthodontics. Dr. Woo is a meticulous practitioner and loves to see our patients’ spectacular smiles when treatment is finished. We are very proud that he has been honored as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Woo is an avid golfer and presently has a 1 handicap (he is our “Tiger Woo”, in fact anyone who can beat him on the course can qualify for a discount on their orthodontic treatment!) He is very active in the community and has coached baseball in a community league for children. He also enjoys running, badminton, fine dining and spending time with his wife and his two children.
